This Sculpture is part of a series that allows natural processes to occur more so than the majority of my large scale work. I have chosen to allow this because of the feelings I have towards this body of work. There are elements involved here that allow me to let go of some of my self implemented restraints; to allow nature to interact more with my thoughts. The natural patina and worn paint of this object bares with it the markings of age and thusly has its own memory. It is memory itself that I wish to stir with this art object as the viewer reaches inside to wind up the music box and hear a peaceful lullaby.
